Pastors Lee and Sue Boss
While attending the University of Arkansas, Pastor Lee was an integral part of the 1958 Southwest Conference Championship Basketball team. After graduating from UA with a B.S.E. degree, Pastor Lee spent six years in the U.S. Army (one of those years in South Vietnam). Upon leaving the armed forces with an honorable discharge, a silver star for gallantry in action, and the rank of Captain, he owned and operated a successful Real Estate Brokerage firm in Arkansas and later a Business Brokerage firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Pastor Lee met Sue while attending the Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa, and they were happily married in 1983.
In August 1987 the Lord spoke to Pastor Lee and told him it was time to leave Tulsa, where he and Sue were Assistant Pastors at Victory Christian Center. The Lord instructed him to pioneer and pastor a church. After a season of seeking God and through different confirmations from the Lord, Pastor Lee and Sue moved to Austin and held Victory’s first Sunday service on October 2, 1988 with 101 people in attendance.
After starting with three families, the Church has grown to over a thousand men, women, boys and girls meeting, worshiping and fellowshipping on a regular basis. In fact, the church is now in its fifth location, which was supernaturally occupied, through the principles of faith and seed time and harvest, on May 31, 1996. The Lord showed Himself mighty as He helped raise one-half million dollars in five months to make a down payment and close escrow on our current facility. The other locations were miracle testimonies in themselves of God’s faithfulness to provide where He guides.
